Nanoengineered nickel-based ultrathin metamaterial absorber for the visible and short-infrared spectrum

Nanostructured-based broadband perfect absorbers are of great interest in a wide range applications, including spectroscopy, energy harvesting, and thermal photonics, etc. Here, planar square meta-ring nickel (Ni) is presented, which has the potential to absorb large operational wavelength starting from 400 nm 3000 nm. The proposed device model comprises configuration three layers with top bottom metal Ni middle dielectric layer aluminium nitride (AlN). designed ring metamaterial absorber (SRMMA) can attain an average absorption value more than 90% over waveband 400-3000 Moreover, it also maintain its up 70% for oblique incident angles both wave polarization cases (TE TM). Furthermore, exhibits polarization-insensitive response under influence different angles, attributed four-fold symmetry geometry meta-ring. our SRMMA reduces fabrication complexity cost due simplified design architecture. These promising features may have widespread applications solar emission, other optoelectronic devices.
